Forthcoming Events

Saturday 30th September 2017 at 7.30pm: St Cuthberts Church, Carlisle

"Sacred Swing!"

Abbey Singers proudly present a concert of music sacred and secular, with one thing in common - a jazzy flavour.

From Bernstein's 1965 masterpiece "The Chichester Psalms" through the modern mass setting by British composer Bob Chilcott "Little Jazz Mass" (2004) to a range of well known 30's and 40's songs including "In the Mood", we hope that our programme will get you feet tapping at times, and give you pause for thought at others.

St. Cuthbert's church is close by Carlisle Cathedral and tickets are available on the door, or will be available to be bought in advance from Carlisle Tourist Information in the City centre.

We hope you will come along to enjoy this uplifting concert of beautiful music from the 20th century.
